ANOTHER PLACE, ANOTHER LEVEL
If the thought of escaping to the banks of Ullswater and losing yourself in the magic of the Lake District sounds appealing, then there is one hotel that never disappoints. Beyond checks into Another Place, The Lake, and discovers a luxurious retreat that now brings guests even closer to the wild than ever before.
Nestled within 18 acres of gardens and extensive national parkland, at the edge of Ullswater, Another Place, The Lake, has long been the destination for couples and families looking to embrace the great outdoors within a contemporary, yet relaxed setting.

But now the team behind the Lake District hotspot have gone one step further by introducing some stunning new outside rooms and spaces that elevate the hotel to another level.
For, in addition to the 40 stylish rooms located in the main hotel, guests can now snuggle up in a large, secluded treehouse with floor-to-ceiling views of the lake or in one of six beautifully handcrafted oak and tin shepherd huts with stargazing roofs. To add to the magic they can also enjoy lakeside drinks and woodfired pizzas at the newly appointed Glasshouse restaurant.

The collection of new rooms has been designed to bring guests even closer to nature and with its private lakeshore and views over Ullswater and the fells, it’s the ideal place to explore the wilderness, swim beneath the stars, eat and drink well and above all switch off in a truly stunning setting.
Talking about the launch last year, the hotel’s CEO Will Ashworth said: “The treehouse is one of a kind, and the biggest accommodation on offer in any of our locations but the whole set – the treehouse, shepherd huts and Glasshouse – brings a new energy and buzz. We’re blending great hospitality and novel experiences with a sublime natural environment.”

The joy of Another Place is that there is something for everybody to enjoy and whether it is relaxing in the Swim Club spa where floor-to-ceiling windows reveal the incredible views outside; dining in one of the three restaurants; enjoying a cocktail in the hot tub; taking a walk in the breathtaking surroundings or enjoying an invigorating early morning swim in the lake, you won’t be disappointed with the offerings at this Georgian gem of a hotel.
When it comes to dining the hotel boasts two on-site relaxed-style restaurants which will satisfy every taste. The Living Space focuses on a family-style menu with a terrace to enjoy al fresco dining in the warmer months, whereas Rampsbeck has a more formal feel but is still welcoming with a laidback atmosphere.

Even with its impeccable styling, young guests are made to feel more than welcome, with a specific children’s menu in the Living Space.
The family-friendly focus is felt throughout the hotel, with excellent family room options such as the ‘Best Family Suite’ and ‘Best Family Cottage’ and alongside the Treehouse and the shepherd’s huts, there’s a room to suit every family.

Ultimately, this hotel provides the perfect escape for all the family. Relaxing by the pool, sipping cocktails on the terrace, water sports with the kids, hiking the mountainous terrain of the spectacular lakes or simply switching off from the modern rat race – the grandeur of this historic house mixed with its contemporary styling creates the relaxed ambience you’ll fall in love with.
