Ilkley takeaway restaurant Ashiana has scooped another culinary award after being named Takeaway of the Year at the prestigious Yorkshire and North East Curry Awards.

Ilkley has no shortage of good restaurants to visit but it’s also the proud owner of the best takeaway in the country.

Ashiana which serves up deliciously authentic and contemporary Bangladeshi cuisine was crowned best takeaway restaurant in the UK earlier this year at the Curry Life Awards and they followed this up by scooping the Takeaway of the Year at the prestigious Yorkshire and North East Curry Award held in Bradford in June.

Having first opened its doors in Ilkley in 2023, the takeaway on Wells Road has become a local favourite for its quality food, amazing flavours and fantastic customer service.

Owner and manager Forhad Miah said: ‘We are absolutely blown away to have won another award and bring this coveted trophy back to Ilkley.

“We were up against some fierce competition throughout the region and we’re immensely proud to have won.”

Forhad credited the skill of head chef Shimul Ahmed for steering Ashiana to more glory and  added: “We are lucky to have such a brilliant chef as Shimul and the fact we are recognised as the best takeawy in the country is down to him and his incredibly gifted kitchen team.”

Serving the local community, Ashiana look forward to welcoming you to taste their award-winning takeaway and are open seven days a week from 5.30pm to 10pm every night.
