Built explores the environment that we have created and in which we live and work and how it makes us feel and behave as we move through it.

The built environment has been a rich source of inspiration for artists and makers throughout history, and has been used to explore narratives of time passing and human interactions within the spaces we have constructed.

Dan Broughton

Running until December at the popular Ilkley gallery on Church Street, Built features the paintings, photographs and sculptures of Yorkshire-based artists including Dan Broughton, Aileen Brindle, the talented Yukihiro Akama, Alison Walters and Luke Tarpey and offers a fascinating look into the everyday buildings and structures we take for granted in a spectacular visual display.
