Beyond reports on the incredible transformations that interior design company Dean Heim & Co are making on a number of a high-profile projects across Yorkshire and how they are putting their art into turning the ordinary into the extraordinary.

Leathley, Menston

Brief: To design a media wall and transform the open plan kitchen and living room.

For this project we were asked to create a bar unit and media wall in the open-plan kitchen and living room. Alongside fluted cabinet fronts and onyx bar inlays, we curated a piece of art from Yield Gallery, by the London-based artist Ferne, to complement the design.

We also designed and installed a new log burner fireplace in the snug with Lapicida tiles and hearth.
In addition, we constructed bespoke alcove cabinetry units which feature wallpaper inlays and wall panelling to bring texture and warmth to the space. Along with recessed led lighting to light up their shelving units, we have also introduced an extensive range of furniture and soft furnishings which will shortly be installed to complete the project.

Eden Park, Spofforth

Brief: To design the interiors of two high-end barn conversions for local developer, Quarter Life.

The Hay Barn is a modern timber and glass-clad barn with views over the valley. Tasked with creating a modern kitchen with hidden doors into a pantry and utility room behind, this was succesfully completed in collaboration with RoomRoom Interiors of Harrogate. We also designed a luxury master ensuite and dressing room featuring Lapicida tiles and custom bronze sprayed brassware. Responsible for delivering the internal layout, the bespoke oak walk-in wardrobes, the lighting and the staircase, The Hay Barn has been stylishly reconfigured to provide a beautiful living space.

The Old Dairy is a U-shaped old barn that has a stunning private courtyard garden. We were tasked with designing the master ensuite along with installation of custom-fitted furniture in the bedrooms; reconfiguring the internal layouts and overseeing all the internal lighting.
