Ilkley is gearing up for the ultimate cheese tasting extravaganza as Homage2Fromage arrives at the Flying Duck pub in September and we reckon you’d be quackers to miss it.

Get ready Ilkley…. Homage2Fromage, the UK’s leading cheese event people, are bringing their celebrated interactive tasting nights to The Flying Duck pub for the start of a monthly celebration of all things cheese.

Starting on September 24th, the event promises an evening of delicious discovery and tasty, but friendly competition.

The unique Homage2Fromage themed, buffet-style cheese tasting events have been bringing great cheese to people in pubs in Leeds, Sheffield, Harrogate, Manchester, Peterborough and Cambridge for 14 years – and is now reaching out to pastures new, including York and Ilkley.

Homage2Fromage founder Nick Copland said: “Our very first Ilkley event demonstrates just how great British cheese is, and in particular, pits the wonders of Yorkshire cheese against the best of the rest of the world!

“We will be showcasing four glorious cheeses from God’s Own Country and four formidable international fromages. We are saying nowt! You just have to grab some cheese and get voting!”

These events are popular and with tickets already selling fast and limited places, cheese lovers are advised to book early.

Kick off is at 7pm, but guests are invited to come early to check out the cheeses and enjoy a drink in the Flying Duck’s fantastic bar where you can purchase your favourite tipple on the night.
