Homeware-lovers rejoice, for the new designer four-storey concept store by North Home has opened in Leeds and we’re loving its arrival.

The Nordic-inspired retailer North Home has expanded with a new store in County Arcade in the Victoria Quarter Leeds.

Set across four floors, its bursting with designer collections in furniture, ceramics, kitchenware, lighting, skincare, and much more, bringing an entirely new shopping experience to the city.

Customers can browse a huge range of beautiful Scandinavian-style homeware with exclusive collections from brands and designers including Fischersund, Lee Simmonds Ceramics, Hkliving, Seletti and HAY.

What’s more, the new store has something for the taste buds too with a gourmet food hall and basement bar, resplendent with the building’s original features and tiling making it a real gem of a foodie den.

North Home founder Kamil Wangin said: “It’s been an exciting few years for us and we are absolutely thrilled to have expanded North Home with a spectacular space in Leeds’s most iconic shopping location.

“We are a fully independent business and have always had a long-term vision to create something unique for our customers, offering a one-stop shop for unique pieces and providing a shopping experience that stands out from the rest. We have poured all our love and passion for Nordic homewares and fine furnishings into this new store and we hope customers love it as much as we do.”

The design of the new store, which will incorporate lots of heritage features along with contemporary styling, has been carried out by Yorkshire-based commercial interiors specialist Design Tonic.

Design Tonic director, Amanda Cook, said: “County Arcade is an incredible building with many original and quirky features, so it is the perfect location for an aesthetically beautiful store like North Home. It’s been a fantastic project for Design Tonic and the team have created a space that not only complements the minimalist tone that Nordic design is renowned for, but is also warm, welcoming and has a real wow factor.”

North Home first began as an online venture before founders Kamil Wangin and Simon Hawkins opened a temporary pop-up store in Victoria Gate in 2020. After huge success and customer demand, its first bricks and mortar shop quickly followed on Vicar Lane in 2021.

At the heart of North Home lies a deep appreciation for Nordic design. Inspired by the minimalist yet warm aesthetic of Scandinavian homes, with designers carefully selected and collections curated to bring joy and comfort.
