ALL FOR CHARITY
We’re a big fan of local children’s charity, Martin House, so myself and a team from our eight salons recently helped to raise funds by completing the Great North Run, joining 56,000 members of the public in the 13.1-mile half marathon. We’re well on our way to achieving our target of £5,000, with funds going to help care for children with life-limiting conditions.
MAKE IT A BRIGHT CHRISTMAS
Last winter, grey hair was the unexpected colour trend, and this year, it’s different variations of white. I loved the colour seen at Sibling’s A/W16 show: it was a soft, apricot-tinged white that looked super ethereal and really pretty – much like the image Jenny Pelter created here for our Ethereal collection. At Felder and Felder and Saint Laurent, the look was slightly more mainstream, albeit more high-maintenance. Think all-over Barbie-esque platinum blonde. To dip in to this trend without committing to an all-over bleach, try hair chalk to colour the roots white, as seen at Fenty X Puma. If you do decide to go for all-over permanent colour, you will most likely need a pre-lightening treatment, so opt for a colour treatment to protect the integrity, strength and health of your hair, during the colouring process.
