RESTING BEACH FACE
It’s easy to feel slightly despondent as you pack away the remnants of sandy suncream, sarongs and the sundress that held so much promise but never saw the light of day. We may need to start wearing hats quite soon but we can still put our best face forward and these are some of my current favourites to keep us glowing.
BECCA GRADIENT SUNLIT BRONZER
A combination of highlighter and bronzer in one multihued pan to create a perfect subtle, sun-kissed glow. Limited edition so grab one while you can.
NARS CLIMAX MASCARA
I love nothing more than a good mascara. Apart from shoes. And a good book. But otherwise, mascara is up there and NARS have just brought out a new beauty that claims to deliver buildable volume and intensity, yes please, in a lightweight, flexible formula without clumping or smudging. Great packaging too. I’m in!
A REFRESHING CHANGE GARDEN OF WISDOM
Over the past few years, Arizonian brand, Garden of Wisdom (GOW) has gained an impressive cult following for its clean and cleverly formulated serums. Refreshingly rejecting the modern norms of social media-friendly packaging and strategic marketing plans, they are as straight-talking and results driven as a skincare brand gets. And best of all they are affordable with prices starting from £9. Their new line, developed with and available exclusively at super health site Victoria Health, offers a gentle approach for all skin concerns and types. Serums incorporate the least number of inactive ingredients, allowing the actives to shine through for maximum effectiveness.
Don’t be put off by the acidic names which are clearly explained along with suggested regimens on the website. I’ve already placed my order!
