on our radar
This month at beyond we have been mainly…..
HANGING
Check out the brilliant Yorkshire artist Harland Miller and his work at a new exhibition ‘XXX’ at York Art Gallery from 14th March to 31st August. Featuring paintings and works on paper from his renowned Letter Paintings series, it’s well worth a visit.
HOOTING
Celebrated Leeds restaurant The Owl has gone back to its roots to give diners the chance to dive into new flavours and taste experiences with a renewed focus on bold, flavoursome cooking from chef patron and founder, Elizabeth Cottam.
Following the closure of her fine dining venue Home last year, she’s turned her attention back to The Owl and is serving up some sensational cosy food vibes.
SMASHING IT
Make sure you get in early and book your tickets for what is shaping up to be another week of world class tennis, live music, fantastic food and plenty of entertainment at the 2025 Lexus Ilkley Trophy which takes place from 8th – 15th June.

Top of our bucket list this year is a Wellness and Diving Retreat in the Maldives and our bags are already packed for some private underwater yoga, meditative floating sessions, buoyancy workshops, and serene dives among the ocean’s gentle giants—perfect for reconnecting with nature in the stunning
South Ari Atoll.

INDULGING
Opening in Leeds this March is Azotea, a Latin-American rooftop restaurant and bar which has got our name all over it. Located in Sovereign Square, it’ll be home to authentic flavours, music and dance, and with skyline views of Leeds city centre, it promises an unforgettable experience for guests.
SPARKLING
As bright as the diamonds they sell, Lister Horsfall’s stunning new multi-million pound showroom in Halifax boasts all the luxury of a five-star hotel. Home to some of the biggest watch and jewellery brands in the world, it even has its own mixologist to pour you a drink on arrival!
GIGGING
One of our favourite venues at the moment is the Old Woollen in Farsley which hosts everything from comedy nights, book readings and beer tastings to music gigs, record fairs and old school bingo.

WEARING
This year’s fashion is all about double denim and we’re loving Vivienne Westwood’s SS25 collection which offers a selection of classic DD looks featuring iridescent finishes, voluminous silhouettes and her trademark handwritten name.
PRINTING
One of our favourite screen printers is the brilliant Tall Paul Kelly whose stunning works depicting famous Yorkshire scenes and beyond can be seen at The Hepworth Gallery in Wakefield until July.
