ROCKIN’

There’s still time to catch the  holy grail of rock archaeology with the ‘Rolling Stones Unseen 63’ exhibition which showcases over 100 never-before-seen photographs shot in 1962 before they were famous.

JIVIN’

We’ve long been fans of the King of Cool Leon Bridges so when the chance came to see him live at the magical Piece Hall, we couldn’t get to Halifax quick enough.

And the great man didn’t disappoint as he bossed the stage in the sharpest suit I’ve seen in a while and even had the good grace to finish his set with his hit ‘beyond’ for us. Nice touch. If you haven’t listened to the soulful Mr Bridges yet, we suggest you give him a go.

LIGHTIN’

We love a good light at beyond and this summer we’ve been particularly enjoying this little Tom Raffield number that’s been lighting up our garden.

REMINISCIN’

Make Yourself at Home is a landmark exhibition for Bradford 2025 UK City of Culture, weaving together newly commissioned photography and rich archival material to present a vibrant portrait of life in Bradford.

From wide-lapelled 1970s wedding celebrations to garage-smoked Latvian meats, the photographs capture personal milestones, cultural traditions, and everyday moments of connection.

The exhibition runs from 13th September to 20th December at Impressions Gallery, Centenary Square, Bradford.

WEST ENDIN’

If you’re down in London anytime soon make sure you check out the West End smash hit Stereophonic, which has just arrived fresh off Broadway. The play follows five musicians in the 1970s who are on the verge of hitting the big time as they record their new album. Expect sex, drugs and rock n roll as this epic tale unfolds beautifully.

Stereophonic is playing at the Duke of York’s Theatre, London.
