This season it’s all about the party hair, and no style screams confidence and elegance more than this look I created for Hot Tools Professional. Called Lux Waves, this style boasts glossy, smooth curls and deep, defined waves, while keeping the root area sleek and oh-so chic. To recreate the look, work from a side parting and blow-dry your hair smooth, before using the Hot Tools CurlBar 32mm (this size helps you create big, polished curls). Starting from the nape, take sections of hair and twist wrap the hair around the curl bar from the root to the end, working upwards and winding as you go. Allow your hair to cool then brush from roots to ends in one movement to create a stunning soft wave. Use a high shine gloss spray to finish along with a medium hold fine hairspray. TOP TIP: Hairspray is a must to ensure this look remains luxurious and flyaway-free, so apply a dry hairspray to your brush instead of your hair to eliminate any static.

Loops, twists, buns – they’re all back with a bang this season, most notably at Palmer Harding, where simple loops sent us loopy! Here Stephen Low for L’Oréal Professionnel and team gave models twisted versions offset with a healthy, glossy sheen, in order to complement, rather than distract from the designers’ collection. What makes this season’s loops the best of the rest? A nonchalant flick at the end, that gives the look a jewellery-like quality – a subtle nod to the necklaces that accessorised the clothes.

NAIL THE LOOK:

This is a clean and simple look, but don’t ignore the finer details. Keep loops low and loose, flick the hair tips and don’t forget to finish with that essential ‘snakeskin’ shine – effortless polish, without making the hair appear overworked.
