THE INSIDE TRACK
If you’ve visited The Motorist before, then you’ll know it’s more than just a venue, it’s a celebration of everything automotive. We pull back the curtain on what makes The Motorist truly come alive with its jam-packed calendar of year-round events and its growing community of motoring enthusiasts.
With over 160 events a year and doors open 363 days annually, there’s always something to enjoy at The Motorist and whether it’s a mid-week meet, a themed Saturday Social or their well-established Coffee & Cars on a Sunday, you definitely won’t be stuck for choice.

The Motorist’s Saturday Socials are a great opportunity for visitors to come along and enjoy everything from a family-friendly Supercar Day to a celebration of rally history or a Manufacturer Day to a Nation Themed Day – where all cars will be welcomed.
Sundays take a different approach and no matter what car you drive, all makes and models are welcome at Sunday’s Coffee & Cars which often provides an incredibly eclectic mix of motors on display.
From a lovingly maintained Mk2 Golf to a brand-new Ferrari Roma, you never know what will pull up alongside you but the common thread throughout is a shared passion for cars, people, and the stories that bind them.
2025 has already been a milestone year for The Motorist following the success of their Le Mans Festival which brought the drama and heritage of the world’s most iconic endurance race right to Yorkshire, while the hugely popular Rally Legends showcased the best of the best, right on their doorstep.
These aren’t just events, they’re experiences, curated for enthusiasts and newcomers alike and The Motorist is already looking ahead to 2026 with no signs of slowing down, in fact, they’re shifting up a gear, promising to put on the biggest and best events possible, week-in, week-out.
For Managing Director Alec Howarth, it all comes down to what The Motorist represents at its core. He said: “We’ve always said we want to create something lasting, a place where people can come together over their shared love of cars, whatever their background or budget. That’s what drives us every day, and that’s the culture we’re proud to be building”.
Collaborations with United Autosports, the National Motor Museum, and other leading organisations are helping The Motorist to create immersive, engaging and educational experiences that go far beyond simply showcasing beautiful vehicles. From rare vehicle exhibits to autotest demonstrations and hands-on learning moments, these relationships are enriching everything The Motorist does and helping to spark the next generation of automotive passion.

Putting community first, the Motorist even offer a membership programme which provides exclusive access, benefits and experiences that deepen the connection between people and the venue. Ranging from as little as £10 a year with the Bronze membership to £200 per year with the exclusive 50 Club (of which there are only 50 members).
The Motorist isn’t trying to be anything else, and that’s exactly why it works, it is a purpose-built venue which has been developed to deliver the best possible experience for its visitors. It’s authentic, evolving, and completely driven by the people who come through the gates.

So, whether it’s your first visit or your fiftieth, consider this your invitation to visit The Motorist. Take the drive, discover something new, and become part of a place where passion takes the wheel and community fuels the journey.
