And with the launch last year of the Martinez Wine Garden, one of Yorkshire’s most established wine businesses provided Ilkley with yet another reason to raise a glass and enjoy a fun-filled day in the sun.

Situated at the end of The Grove. in the lovely flower-filled park directly next door to the Martinez shop, the Wine Garden proved a huge success and this year it will be back bigger and better than ever.

Aiming to be as inclusive to all, the beautiful gardens provide the perfect setting to enjoy a glass of your favourite tipple, tuck into some delicious food from local street vendors and enjoy live music.

For 2026 Martinez has gone all out in extending their offerings with the support of Bradford Council and new sponsor, Rathfinny Vineyard, Sussex.   

Throughout the summer, and weather permitting, The Wine Garden will run for 15 weekends, and will be open on Fridays from 3pm-10pm and Saturdays from 12 noon-10pm starting on May 15th until Saturday 22nd August.

This year Martinez has invested in a horse box bar where they will serve not only a great selection of wines but draught beers from Bini-Brew, Ilkley and Wharfedale Breweries as well as Spritz, Pimms
G&T and more.

In addition, Rathfinny sparkling wines will be served from the horse box at a 20% discount all summer with this offer also extending to purchases made in both the Martinez bars and shops.

Each Friday will feature different local musical talent from 6pm along with local food vendors while on Saturdays the fun continues with different wine tastings from Martinez suppliers and importers and live entertainment from musicians.

Martinez Picnics will be available throughout the weekends featuring Courtyard Dairy Cheeses, imported Spanish pâtés and French crisps amongst other nibbles.
