Yorkshire’s reputation as a leading foodie destination has been further strengthened with the addition of two more Michelin-starred restaurants at this year’s ceremony.

Yorkshire was once again the toast of the table at this year’s Michelin Guide ceremony with the gastronomic Gods giving their seal of approval to 10 of the county’s most revered restaurants.

It was two more than we received last year and cemented our status as one of the best regions in the country when it comes to fine dining.

FIFTY TWO at Rudding Park

FIFTY TWO Rudding Park in Harrogate and JÖRO in Oughtibridge, Sheffield, were among 20 new one-star spots announced at the ceremony held in Dublin in February.

Of FIFTY TWO, Michelin says: ‘Five repurposed shipping containers in the grounds of the Rudding Park hotel provide the setting for a quite theatrical experience, with Adam Degg’s open kitchen and his chefs acting as the stage and its players.”

Head chef and host Adam Degg says: “Winning a Michelin Star honestly means the world to us. When we opened FIFTY TWO in 2024, the goal was to create something genuine, fun and rooted in the incredible produce we grow right here at Rudding Park.”

“I’m incredibly proud of our small but mighty team; this recognition is a reflection of their energy, creativity and belief in what we’re building.”

Of JÖRO, the guide says: “JÖRO’s move to a smartly converted 19th-century former mill on the outskirts of Sheffield made it one of the most exciting and impressive (re)openings of the year.

FIFTY TWO and JÖRO join Yorkshire’s eight other Michelin-starred restaurants, who all retained their coveted awards.
