As the festive season approaches, Leeds foodie and lifestyle influencer Lucy Bostock gives us a few of her favourite places to wine and dine this Christmas.

THE BOX TREE
If you’re looking for a special treat this Christmas then may I suggest you pay a visit to the famous Box Tree restaurant in Ilkley.
Steeped in history and a place where Marco Pierre White once worked, the iconic restaurant is now under the reins of new head chef Brayden Davies who judging by his incredible menu is working hard to put this restaurant back on the map after a few years in the wilderness.
His 10-course tasting menu and wine pairing in such a cosy and atmospheric setting was the perfect way to to spend a few magical hours
In the warmth of one of Ilkley’s oldest buildings you’re taken on an incredible culinary journey that leaves you convinced The Box Tree is definitely on its way back to the top of the table.
BELOW STAIRS
If you’re looking to break up your day while out Christmas shopping or simply want to reward yourself afterwards, this hidden nook of a bar is the perfect cosy spot to hang out and enjoy a tipple this festive season. I’ve long sung about it being my favourite bar in Leeds, and there’s still nowhere I’d rather be.
With staff who welcome you like an old friend and no shortage of dimly lit hidden corners to snuggle into, it’s the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle outside and the place for one of the most creative cocktails imaginable. See you in there!
LAYNES
As we move into the winter months and temperatures start to drop, there’s no better place to warm up than Laynes, located close to the train station in Leeds.
With the perfect hot breakfast menu to choose from, I’m currently loving their Turkish Eggs, which will keep you going the whole day.
Their iconic coffee is to die for and once you start me on their delicious array of baked goodies, I’ll never shut up. They really are heavenly and the perfect indulgent treat.
These guys do get busy though so try and book a table if you can or be prepared to wait a little while.
SILVER’S DELI
It’s been a big year for Silver’s in Bramley and I cannot tell you how excited I am to see what festive specials they’ll be serving up this year.
All I know is that they are going to be filthily good and ticking that indulgent box that is so hard to resist at this time of year.
The breakfast and lunch menus here are incredible, so it doesn’t matter what time you visit, you won’t be disappointed. For when it comes to knowing what the public want – Silver’s really get it and I can’t shout about this place enough.
IVY ASIA
One of my favourite nights out is at the wonderful Ivy Asia and this festive season the Leeds restaurant is inviting guests to embark on a culinary voyage like no other.
From 13th November to 31st December guests can indulge in an array of festive set menus, seasonal specials and crafted cocktails, which are sure to take your taste buds to places they’ve never been before.
The Festive Set Menu is just £35 while there is an afternoon tea offering with a twist, plus Boxing Day Brunch and more!
