FESTIVAL OF FASHION

It’s that time of year when we are all gearing up for summer festivals. Harvey Nichols Leeds looks at some of the must-have fashion styles this season.

BOHEMIAN PARADISE

Australian brand Zimmermann are known for their elaborate prints, full skirts and crafty details since their launch in 1991. In line with the summer’s key trends, get ready for a full-on 70s inspired bohemian look. The Allia floral ruffled mini dress is made from breathable linen, adorned with bright florals and framed with fluttering sheer sleeves. This piece has a flirty feel with its alluring cut out waist and ruffled trims. These Rylee ankle boots from Chloé are the perfect piece of footwear to add to your bohemian inspired outfit with their tough leather exterior, and lace and buckle fastenings for the perfect rocker edge.

This green leather bag from Gucci is just the right size for any festival goer. Thanks to its chain strap, the Zumi bag can be worn cross body to keep your possessions stylish and safe. Sunglasses are a vital piece to add to your festival wardrobe and these Poppy octagon-framed glasses from French label Chloé, are a must-have. Drawing inspiration from the brand’s obsession with 70s style, the double frame features octagon lenses in a tortoiseshell frame.

GIRL POWER

Last summer we saw the rise of straw bags and the mania has carried over into another season. This summer-destined design, the raffia bag is one of Loewe’s newest styles. The basket bag shape is crafted from woven raffia layered with a logo-embossed brown leather front plaque.

The vintage- inspired label Free People, known for its signature prints, kimonos and bohemian must-haves, launched over 10 years ago. This chiffon kimono is a staple piece for your festival wardrobe but can also be mixed into your everyday summer outfits. Pair with these relaxed blue jeans for a comfortable festival-inspired look. The distressed details and frayed cuffs will give your outfit that thrown-on vibe. Finish of your outfit with these Jimmy Choo Aleili wedges. Crafted with soft leather straps and cork wedge heel, these sandals are a must-have in your summer wardrobe.
